在美國多處設有辦事處的Shady Grove生殖中心指出，今年約有一萬三千名婦女申請捐出卵子，但其中有65%表示她們有「財務上的動機」。不過由於須經過嚴格的篩檢及長時間的過程，因此真正「捐」卵子成功的比例只有3%。

捐「卵子」的每個階段都能獲得補償金。完成第一階段時「捐贈者」可得到7千美元 (約21萬台幣)，第二階段再拿7500美元，第三到第六階段各拿8千美元。整個過程要花數月之久。捐贈者平均年齡為27歲，近八成有大學學位。

一位產後4個月的婦女表示，她在網路上看到1盎斯 (約38克)的母乳可以賣到5美元，於是她開始搜尋買主。

一位25歲的小姐麥丹娜生得一頭紅髮。她10月1日上網開價1500美元，要賣她長達45公分的頭髮，回應者超過百人。

共和黨籍的美國國會議長貝納今天表示，聯邦眾議院兩黨將討論讓美國能夠前進的建議。不過媒體報導，白宮不接受眾院版最新解決政府關閉與國債上限的草案。

貝納（John Boehner）和多位共和黨眾院領袖15日上午結束共和黨會議後，在國會山莊舉行短暫記者會。貝納表示，連月來多次清楚表明，國債違約是錯誤，應該可以渡過，眾議院不分兩黨將繼續討論讓美國前進的方案。

共和黨主導的眾議院基本上同意，參議院領袖接近完成的提高舉債上限與重開政府的協議，不過眾院仍將更動白宮堅持不該更動的歐巴馬健保。

有線電視新聞網（CNN）報導，白宮消息指出，歐巴馬將反對眾院版解決方案，美國政府倒債的可能性再度升高。

在出席東亞領導人系列峰會並訪問汶萊、泰國和越南後，大陸國務院總理李克強今天在越南表示，中國與東協保證南海航行自由。

李克強晚間已回到北京。

新華網報導，李克強在越南會見媒體指出，中國將和相關國家以智慧解決問題，透過雙邊友好協商化解分歧，「中國將與東盟（東協）國家繼續努力，現在和將來都保證南海航行自由、安全。我們有能力使南海成為安寧和平之海。」

他說，中國將堅定不移走和平發展道路，用最大的努力和耐心來維護南海和平，化解和南海主權聲索國的雙邊分歧。中國也有決心維護主權和領土完整。

此外，李克強也談到大陸的經濟，指大陸今年有條件把消費者物價指數漲幅控制在3.5%左右。
