榮獲諾貝爾醫學獎的美國學者羅斯曼今天說，當他開始研究細胞內部傳輸系統時，許多同僚都將之稱作「瘋狂」。

法新社報導，羅斯曼接受訪問時表示，「我開始在史丹佛大學（Stanford University）進行研究的頭幾年，每個人都告訴我，試圖複製發生在整個細胞內的神秘複雜情況，真是太瘋狂了」。

美國學者羅斯曼（James Rothman）和謝克曼（Randy Schekman），以及德國出生的居多夫（ThomasSuedhof）今天榮獲2013年諾貝爾醫學獎，3人因發現荷爾蒙、酵素和其他重要物質如何在細胞間傳輸而獲此殊榮。

3名醫學獎得主獨立研究囊泡系統的各種面向，時間長達35年。

謝克曼1970年代晚期開始對細胞基因產生興趣，並利用酵母當作實驗模型進行研究。

他發現，運輸機制有缺陷的酵母細胞，對整個系統造成的問題，就類似規劃不良的大眾運輸系統。

羅斯曼自1980年代和1990年代起，就開始研究哺乳動物細胞內的囊泡如何傳輸的細節。

評審委員會說：「他發現1種蛋白質複合物，能讓囊泡與細胞膜目標物對接並融合。」

拜蛋白質之賜，囊泡才能尋找到正確的配對細胞，而蛋白質就像1條連接兩端的拉鍊。

委員會還說：「事實上，當特定配對出現時，囊泡與細胞膜才會融合，確保貨物運輸到正確的位置。」

起初，大腦神經細胞如何能彼此聯繫，激起了居多夫的好奇心。

1990年代，居多夫發現囊泡如何接收命令釋出泡內的物質，這是細胞內信號系統不可或缺的部分。

諾貝爾委員會還列出3人眾多研究事蹟。

【連欣儀／綜合外電報導】美國兩黨遲遲無法打破協商僵局之際，國際信評機構穆迪投資人服務（Moody's Investors Service）執行長麥克丹尼爾（Raymond McDaniel）表示，美國債務違約機率「幾乎是不可能」，就算無法及時在10月中調高債限，美國財政部仍會設法清償到期債務，不至於讓美債違約。
 
麥克丹尼爾看法與先前太平洋投資管理公司（Pacific Investment Management Co.，PIMCO）經理人葛洛斯（Bill Gross）、全球最大資產管理公司貝萊德（BLACKROCK）執行長芬克（Laurence Fink）等人看法一致。
