台北市政府都市發展局更新處今天表示，北市府從未因相關爭議，間斷或停止受理中案件的審查、審議及核定作業，從去年全年事業計畫審議通過78件與核定16件，相較今年1月到7月底止審議通過及核定案件，分別已達38件及26件來看，更新案件審議絕無外傳停擺的現象。

更新處指出，北市府面對文林苑案除已促成中央修法外，更採主動協商方式，展現處理問題並釐清爭議的積極態度；另外也持續推行多項行政簡化，進行多項全國首創的策進作為，致力健全審查機制。

【綜合報導】1名德國男子42年前在英格蘭東南部東薩塞克斯郡（East Sussex）聖三一教堂竊走1本200年歷史的英文聖經，而今已把它還給這座教堂。而男子當年偷走聖經的理由，竟然是為了把聖經拿回家練習英文！
 
英國哈斯丁（Hastings）聖三一教堂（Holy Trinity Church）的司庫史考特（Simon Scott）說，這名男子是1971年取走這本聖經的。
 
該男子當年和妻子來此參加英語課程，卻對課程感到不甚滿意，於是便取回這本聖經，打算靠閱讀使英文進步，不過卻從未花時間這麼做。
 
史考特轉述男子寄來的匿名信上說法：「他發現這堂英語課程的價值遠低於平均值，令人非常失望，但收費卻十分昂貴。」「有些課程在教堂內進行，而男子說自己看見那些聖經就擺在那，看似無用」；「基於某種補償心態，他決定將其中1本帶回家閱讀，透過這種方式讓英文進步」。
 
然而男子也在信中說，「我從未花時間讀它」。男子並透露其妻對於男子偷走聖經的舉動「相當生氣」，因此「每當看見這本聖經，都會對我的所做作為充滿罪惡感。」
 
至於郵寄歸還的方式，男子也解釋：「我一直無法鼓起勇氣返回教堂，親手奉還這本書。但我現在退休了，終於決定要做對的事情。」
