「大學念什麼科系，到底重不重要」是個有趣的問題。

高中生最常聽到的是「大學念什麼很重要」，但大學生最常聽到的卻是「大學念什麼不重要」。出社會後，畢業生們總會抱怨企業，嘴裡說能力大於學歷，但還卻總愛用「大學念什麼」當作錄取門檻；工作一段時間之後，職場新鮮人紛紛思索自己真正想走的道路，卻又擔心若想嘗試的道路與大學所學不符，容易慘遭滑鐵盧。以上這些現象似乎都是「大學念什麼重不重要」的回答，卻又無法完美地歸納出「是」或者「否」這樣的單一結論。因此，很顯然地這些問題並非如此單純。

近五年來，幾乎所有主流媒體都一面倒地告訴社會新鮮人：大學念什麼不重要。這幾乎成為某種顯學，如同社會正義、經濟轉型，在像我這樣30歲出頭的年紀，是個沒人能反駁、理所當然的答案。是的，工作之後我們會發現，除了少數需要大學學歷或相關學分才能應考的證照與相對應的職業，例如醫師、心理師與建築師等，絕大多數的工作跟大學中傳授的課程相關性並不高。除了少數進入門檻高的職業外，多數職業都不是只開放一扇窄門給本科系大學生。轉換跑道的確並不這麼困難，只是得花去更多時間與精神。

事實上也的確有許多能力出眾的人，近乎無痕無縫地轉換領域，例如我的管院同學們，有人轉向法律發展、有人跑去當工程師，更有人在拍電影。這些往往是媒體最愛闡述的生命故事：毅然決然放棄既有的平順道路，努力往自己的夢想前進，多麼讓人感動。但這些激勵人心的故事並非社會常態，而是特例；反過來說，如果這類生命經驗稀鬆平常，也就沒有任何吸引人的新聞亮點可言了。因此，「大學念什麼不重要」之所以成為主流，一方面是基於科系與職業契合度其實並不高，另一方面則是大家總想抱持著「只要有勇氣改變，生命總有不同可能性」的希望。

然而，大學並非單純只是職業訓練所，大學教育具有更深層的意義。我一位大學同學在畢業時說過一段相當深刻的話：「高三畢業的時候，同學之間的樣貌跟想法都沒有太大差異，多數人也都不知道自己到底想要什麼、適合什麼。考試篩選後，誰上什麼學院科系可能只是相差一、兩分造成的結果。這一、兩分原本不具有什麼區辨性，但是大學四年後，相同學院的人就會有相契的價值觀、相近的邏輯、相同的氣質。這時候辦高中同學會，相同學院的人也會很自然地聚在一起，聊著彼此感興趣的話題。」

這個現象有兩種可能的歷程：1.高中生基於各自不同的特質和興趣選擇了不同學院科系，大學教育則強化了這些差異。2.高中生處在價值觀不穩定同時資訊又不充足的狀態，選擇科系幾乎是跟著分數落點的隨機分配；因此，大學教育帶來的差異是一種學生自我預言實現的結果。我相信兩種歷程必然同時存在，但真正完全清楚、甚至只是粗略理解到自己想要什麼的高中生畢竟是少數，選科系更接近一種跟著入學考試分數變化的結果。因此，後者可能比前者更貼近多數人的生命經驗。那麼，大學教育到底如何把近乎一張白紙的高中畢業生形塑成某種樣子呢？

市議員梁文傑調閱北市府的資料發現，市場處在100年底竟以婦女恐受病菌危害、安全疑慮等為由，向衛生局申請「45個公有市場不適合設哺乳室」，經中央主管機關國健局核准後，至今45個市場都沒有設有哺乳室。

市場處說，當年主要考量傳統市場的沒有一般公共場所乾淨，加上市場經整修後，現有空間並未增加，怕找不到適合設置的位置，未來會盡快評估改進。衛生局說，會輔導市場處在市場增設哺乳室。
