立法院外交及國防委員會25日由林永樂、原駐甘比亞大使陳士良、禮賓處處長石瑞琦及國合會秘書長陶文隆等相關官員，進行「台甘斷交始末及後續處理情形」專案報告。立委陳歐珀詢問甘比亞與中國大陸的關係。林永樂說，目前甘比亞沒有和中國大陸官方人員的活動，根據甘比亞總統府秘書長所給的回應，和中國大陸並不會建立任何關係，也沒有任何接觸，大陸有人在甘比亞投資，但人數不多，也多屬民間交往。

陳歐珀進一步詢問，未來若甘比亞再要求復交，是否會同意？林永樂回應，目前沒有這方面的訊息，但若有需要，會做進一步評估。

至於第一線外交人員懲處問題，林永樂表示，會來做內部檢討，但根據目前評估，斷交事件發生突然，甘比亞也未給我方任何解釋，但內部已經開過幾次會，會做出妥善處理。目前先處理撤館、撤團等相關事宜。
