日本推出石垣優香、鈴木李茄、根本理世，世界排名分別是第100、169、221；我國是4強戰原班陣容鄭怡靜、陳思羽、李依真，分別是第33、65、83。儘管排名上台灣看似上風，但對手也都有日本各級國家隊經歷，只是近來較少在國際賽出現，球路不熟悉也使我方適應困難。
 
劉俊麟分析：「主要還是心態跟對削球不適應的問題。日本心態真的放很開又很穩，值得我們學習。國內削球手防守質量沒那麼高，像這場比賽，有好幾分都是我們連衝4、5球都衝不死，反而被對手拿走。」
 
第1點陳思羽受制於石垣優香削球打法，以7比11、7比11、10比12直落3輸球。第2點鄭怡靜戰鈴木李茄，先以11比9、11比9連續險勝2局，第3局10比8聽牌後卻遭逆轉，反以11比13、7比11、5比11連丟3局落敗。
 
第3點雙打陳思羽／李依真遇上女子雙打已晉級4強的削球組合石垣優香／根本理世，前2局都打到長局，才分別以12比14、10比12惜敗，第3局雖11比6扳回一城，但第4局仍以6比11失利。
