deliver是多益測驗的高頻字，也是國際職場的常用字，值得一學。在描述凱特王妃的「Will she deliver?」一句中，deliver顯而易見的是指「生小孩」。deliver的基本字義是「遞、送」的意思，一個女人把新生命送來這個世界，所以它有「生小孩」之意。但是，在「遞、送」的基礎上，deliver還有「投遞、傳送、運送」之意，尤其在國際職埸與多益測驗裡，它是指「送貨」，它的名詞要順便一記，是字尾加-y的delivery。

due在上述的兩個用法是形容詞，而它也可以當名詞使用，是「應付款」。此外，due to是重要片語──「由於」，等於because of。
例句：
The flight is delayed due to a mechanical problem.（班機由於機械問題而延遲。）
