食物的保鮮也有一些撇步。食物應採先進先出的FIFO(FirstIn, First Out)原則,可隨手在包裝袋上寫上購買日期,方便管理。存放時,建議將生鮮原料與熟食分區置放,或將熟食置於上架,生原料置於下架。不要經常性的打開冰箱,盡量縮短開關時間,以免冰箱內溫度迅速上升。剩菜若仍處於熱溫狀態,千萬不可馬上放入冰箱內。冷凍食品則要避免反覆冷凍、解凍,若不慎弄破包裝袋,應改換乾淨塑膠袋重新包裝。
