全台共有11例鼬獾確診為狂犬病例，有30名受國內狂犬病影響注射人用狂犬疫苗。

狂犬病例再增！今(28)日防檢局公佈再增確診5例染病鼬獾，全台目前共有11例確診感染狂犬病鼬獾；而疾管署將針對危險區第一線防疫人員施打預防性暴露狂犬疫苗，疾管署長張鋒義表示，人類無法控制野生動物活動範圍，所以呼籲民眾加強防疫。
畜衛所昨日化驗17件野生動物屍體，其中有5例鼬獾確診感染狂犬病，是從南投國姓、仁愛；台中新社；台南南化；高雄田寮等地區驗出。
防檢局長張淑賢表示，呼籲民眾盡快攜帶寵物注射，提供山區寵物免費施打疫苗，要將疫情控制在山區，而昨(27)日南投女童遭鼬獾咬傷的檢體今日進行化驗，受傷女童已施打狂犬疫苗。
國內目前是使用死毒疫苗注射控制疫情，張淑賢表示，美國因為地大才有條件使用活毒疫苗防治狂犬病，然而美國就曾有民眾誤入野外投藥區而感染狂犬病，國內山區仍有民眾居住，如果使用活毒疫苗散佈山林，恐會危害到山區民眾。
疾管署表示，已進口1,840劑人用狂犬病疫苗，而8月將有的17,500劑疫苗及能供875人使用的免疫球蛋白，疾管署長張鋒義表示，明天開始將替危險區第一線人員施打預防性疫苗，為危險區300名前線人員注射，逐週各為1000名人員施打，保護防疫獸醫師、捕犬貓隊員等防疫前線人員。
張峰義指出，從7月21到27日共36位民眾接種狂犬病疫苗，其中6名是在境外被動物咬傷，而國內的30人則多位在鼬獾病例發生的東區及中區。
張鋒義表示，通常會發生動物傷人情況，是因為人類侵犯到野生動物領域，而野生動物活動範圍很廣擴，根本無法完全控制野生動物的情況，強調民眾必須共同防護，加強寵物疫苗施打情況，防止疫情加重。
