國民黨全代會可能移師台中梧棲綜合體育館，不少抗議團體揚言不缺席。市長胡志強今(8)日上午表示，市府一視同仁，只要依法辦理，就沒辦法決定它們來不來。若真的發生抗議示威，他表示會增加治安考量，這也是必要付出的社會成本。
台中市教育局體育處，上午證實國民黨台中市黨部，已正式完成11月9日和10日的場館租借程序，不過由於國民黨中央尚未鬆口，因此是否會如期在該地點舉行全代會，目前還沒有確切答案。
