兄弟象「周董」周思齊在個人臉書上，放上「自由球員行使意願表」照片，正式申請成為自由球員。

周思齊說：「今年是思齊已取得九個球季的年資，也決定行使自由球員的權利，這個決定也已經告知球團與草總，並預計在今天完成相關程序。特別感謝兄弟球團這些年來對思齊的照顧，以及球迷朋友們這些年來一路走來的相挺與支持!」

中華職棒今年共有23人取得自由球員資格，扣除複數年合約球員，共有17位球員可以行使宣告權利，周思齊月薪28萬元（年薪336萬元），根據聯盟規定，有意吸收他的新球團，需支付象隊840萬元（年薪2.5倍）。
