市區裡，隨便一個街角，可能就會撞見一身淺藍的「屈臣氏」。這個連鎖藥妝店26年前，才在台灣開設第一家門市，但其實，100多年前，屈臣氏早已從台北的大稻埕登陸了。
19世紀的二○年代，有英國人跟隨帝國擴張的腳步來到東方，在澳門、在廣州開設西藥房，滿足外籍人士在遠東異地生活的基本需求。1841年，中國的兩廣總督琦善私自同意割讓香港給英國，英國人再隨之踏上香港，開設「香港藥房」。10幾年後，一位姓屈臣的醫生進入香港藥房擔任經理，1871年，他把香港藥房改名為屈臣氏大藥房，屈臣氏這個店名終於誕生。
屈臣醫生的英文全名為Alexander Shriving Watson，如果用台灣的規則翻譯他的姓，應該像福爾摩斯破案的助手醫生一樣，要叫「華生」。會把Watson翻成「屈臣」，是因為他在香港，所以依粵音翻譯。 不論叫屈臣或華生，無損英國人的經營，屈臣氏藥房很快在南中國打響名號。據100多年前台灣的報紙報導，清末，洋商到大稻埕收茶製茶，台灣人開始慢慢嘗試西藥，台北已有好幾家廈門人開的西藥店，像是華昌、威建、普安、同春，而「屈臣氏最為著名」。 

台灣進入日本統治後，屈臣氏仍是名牌，不免搔動著貪婪的心。1908年，大稻埕一個叫張成的警察，他太太原本賣一點脂粉，有一天，竟假造了兩千枚屈臣氏的白玫瑰香水的商標，被屈臣氏的經銷商潘毅卿查覺，一狀告到法院。
日本時代，一直到1926年，報紙還說，香港屈臣氏的藥品非常有效，「製劑適合華人氣質」，「全台歸李俊啟氏專營」。李俊啟經銷屈臣氏的榮景，現在還可以在迪化街看到他留下的大樓遺跡；砌貼在水泥牆的「屈臣氏大藥房」幾個字，似要捉緊時光，不願退席。
然而，相隔一年，香港屈臣氏首度正式授出台灣總代理權，不讓各藥店分別進貨販售，總代理商卻非李俊啟的屈臣氏大藥房，而是巫世傳經營的「神農氏大藥房」。
1927年是「屈臣氏」3個字在台灣很吊詭的一年；招牌「屈臣氏大藥房」的店不能賣屈臣氏的藥，還與香港本店去東京大打商標官司。
而香港屈臣氏的新歡「神農氏大藥房」，和「屈臣氏大藥房」竟然相距不遠，同位於永樂町二丁目，兩家老闆還都是彰化溪湖北上打拼的同鄉。80幾年後的今天想起來，還幫他們感覺好尷尬呀！

標題[請問] 推薦實驗室用離心機

標題[心得] 萬海業務代表筆試心得

今天特地北上去了萬海考筆試 人數大約10幾人 似乎已經有考過上一梯了 英文部分程度對我來說有困難 只看的懂一兩成...悲劇 智力測驗頗有深度 這我倒是很喜歡 大概有三題不會 再來工作問卷就是萬年考題囉 不知道是否會接到面試通知 就算接到也不知道該不該去 英文面試對我頗有難度 這次上去考個經驗 如果真的過了 不知道要不要把錢省下來別浪費時間上去了 小魯蛇英文不太好 就算中文面試過了 怕也過不了英文... 是否該放棄? -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 114.26.151.139
