【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】經濟合作與發展組織(OECD)今日發表首次「國際成人能力評估計劃」(PIAAC)的調查結果，結果發現日本人表現最好，而美國和韓國人則低於水準之下。

OECD表示，該研究針對美國、日本、南韓、德國等24個國家的15.7萬名16~65歲間成人進行調查，主要調查項目分為閱讀能力、數學理解力，資訊科技活用程度，以及問題解決能力。中國和印度這次並未列入調查當中。

結果顯示，日本在閱讀、數理及問題解決能力上都拿第一，資訊科技活用的冠軍則由瑞典拿下。此外，美國和韓國在所有項目上，其結果都要比OECD算出的均標要低，而美國的表現也都比韓國要來得差，尤其數理和問題解決能力是排名倒數第3。

某日周五，我和女性當事人來到法院，一到門口，便見到一位穿著正式服裝的中年男子親切的迎面而來，他對我當事人詢問：「請問妳是來結婚的嗎？」她搖搖頭，隨後噗哧而笑地悄聲對我說：「律師，我可以告訴他，我快要離婚了嗎？」我對於當事人面對困境還能保有詼諧的心態，感到有趣。

來到法院2樓調解室，經過公證處時，但見諸多參加婚禮的親友三三兩兩地聚在法院走廊聊天，神情愉悅，充滿喜氣，我有些擔心的回望我的當事人，所幸她的神情淡然，我一直對於法院把結婚公證禮堂緊鄰家事調解室旁的設計，感到好奇，有些人推測法院此項設計是為了提醒新人慎重思考結婚，提醒陷入家事糾紛的夫妻回憶當年結婚時的甜蜜與承諾。這推測挺有道理，但我從未詢問當事人真正的感受。

婚姻20年不斷 失望

她隨著我到調解室外面服務台報到，便獨自進了調解室，與調解委員晤談，由於法院調解時，視狀況安排夫妻雙方單獨晤談，之後再共同會談，通常在單獨晤談時，不太希望律師在場，所以我讓當事人充分理解法院調解流程和用意後，即在調解室外等候。

約莫2小時後，她結束晤談，我問：「還好嗎？」她點點頭說：「律師，世界最長的隧道有多長？如果徒步走在隧道裡，該要走多久？走了20年，能不能有盡頭？到底要走多久才能看見光？而這婚姻就像隧道，我走了這麼多年，還是看不到光，心想總有一天會看到，然而依然黑暗，可是我只能選擇繼續走。」

我看她眼眶泛淚，這席話讓我首度感受到她堅強背後最深沉的無奈與痛苦。我一時不知如何回應，她微笑著繼續說：「但有一天，這隧道突然崩塌了，所有的壓力與打擊隨著隧道的崩塌排山倒海而來，我渾身浴血、體無完膚，但我卻隨著崩塌看見透進來的光。」我對於她能夠在困境中學習人生課題並且正面思考感到欽佩，也供正值婚姻困境的朋友們參考。

台北榮總昨發表國內變性欲的研究，台灣少數從事變性研究的整形外科開業醫師沈秉輝，曾收治一名五十歲高齡「才」完成男變女手術的個案。他說，這些罹患原發性變性欲症的患者，通常要經過很多年的家庭革命及波折，才能達成心願。

沈秉輝表示，國外研究，變性者是男多於女；國內統計卻是女變男略多於男變女，主要是因國內執行變性手術規定需兩名精神科醫師的長期精神評估報告，但部分病人不想等或拿不到診斷書，偷偷跑到泰國接受手術，尤其是泰國以「人妖」著稱，吸引國內有意接受男變女手術的患者，因此國內男變女手術者反而較少。

「每個接受變性手術的個案，都歷經無數的折磨與煎熬」，沈秉輝說，不少患者在術前、術後都有截然不同的心情，而且多數在變成他／她心目中的性別時，那種重生的感覺非外人所能想像。

沈秉輝歷來所執行的變性手術，其中一個年齡最長是一名五十歲中年男子，手術當天恰好是病人的生日。他說，這名男子從年輕時就有變性念頭，但是父母不准，即使已取得精神科醫師的診斷書，但還是擔心對老人家的衝擊太大，直到老父重病、成植物人，這名男子才實現自己的心願。
