又有人不爽Yasiel Puig在場上的慶祝方式，這回發難的，是紅雀隊外野手Carlos Beltran。國聯冠軍賽第三戰，Puig敲出三壘安打後，先站在打擊區看球的落點，發現不是全壘打、拔腿狂奔、衝上三壘時，又大力鼓掌、高舉雙手，令Beltran不是滋味。
「身為一位球員，我想，Puig不知道該如何慶祝，」Beltran說，「他大概還以為，不是在大聯盟吧！毫無疑問，Puig有天賦、有才能、有熱情，但我想，他還得花點時間，才能學會更冷靜一點慶祝。」
Puig的那記安打，就打往Beltran的管區，「Puig那樣慶祝，對我而言，真的不太好，我很不喜歡。」
有那麼嚴重嗎？道奇隊學長紛紛跳出來為Puig講話。「那就是Puig，」外野手Carl Crawford說，「這一整年來，他都是這樣的，其實我明白，菜鳥不應該做那樣的事，但球迷喜歡，所以我想，應該還OK吧！」
Jerry Hairston Jr.也要為小老弟辯護：「我知道，有時對手不喜歡Puig的衝勁，但希望對手了解，Puig只是想有好表現，而非有其他意思。他就像是在小聯盟比賽的16歲小孩，對比賽充滿熱情，並非不敬。」
不過，Beltran自稱，這是給Puig良心建議：避免刺激對手。 (接下一頁)
