兄弟象全力拚下半季冠軍，25日將由近況相當好的增菘瑋對義大犀牛先發，犀牛則由洋投希克先發，至於獅猿戰，則是羅錦龍對上波拉斯。
增菘瑋本季已拿過5月的投手MVP，他7月的表現依舊突出，目前出賽3場，戰績2勝0敗、防禦率0.93，趁著這股氣勢，增菘瑋要為象隊拚重要的一勝。增菘瑋本季戰績7勝5敗、防禦率3.34，對犀牛戰績2勝3敗、防禦率4.34。
犀象戰25日在斗六球場進行，犀牛由希克先發，他本季戰績8勝3敗、防禦率2.31，是目前中華職棒的防禦率王，對象隊更是有心得，2勝0敗，防禦率只有2.08，被打擊率更是只有2成02 ，可見希克是象隊要拚下半季冠軍的最大障礙之一。
至於在桃園球場進行的獅猿戰，統一獅由羅錦龍先發，他本季戰績5勝2敗、防禦率3.51，對桃猿3勝0敗，對戰防禦率1.71，羅錦龍將挑戰桃猿4連勝，桃猿先發投手波拉斯本季戰績7勝4敗、防禦率3.62，對獅隊戰績3勝1敗、防禦率2.41。
