林杰樑的學生、林口長庚醫院腎臟科主治醫師顏宗海說，這十幾年來林在他的工作、研究都有很大的幫助，林常叮嚀他，當醫師要勇敢直言，並要有道德和勇氣，發言也要有憑有據。

他說，林生前未完的數個研究，包括幾項毒物及重金屬的分析調查，會繼續與師母和醫療團隊接手完成，也會與林家屬共同經營林的臉書，替給網友解答。

林的告別式過程中全程不點香、不燒紙錢，因為林杰樑生前就時常提醒，點香、燒紙錢會容易產生有害物質。

告別式後，林杰樑長子林泓楨像民眾鞠躬道謝，他表示，民眾的鼓勵是父親生前很大的動力，也一直心繫民眾，很感謝大家前來致意。
