沒讓領先優勢跑掉，洪健堯在這場台巡賽封關戰中，替自己在台巡賽季劃下一個完美句點，不但冠軍到手，還取得亞巡資格，並在冠軍獎金進帳後，登上台巡獎金王寶座。

今年才轉職業的洪健堯，二度蟬聯彰化公開賽冠軍，前年奪冠還是業餘選手，去年此站賽事停辦，連莊收下21000美元的冠軍獎金，並以年度總獎金約台幣2398598元登上台巡獎金王。

洪健堯今年分別贏下昇恆昌TPGA慈善錦標賽及阿瘦盃公開賽，彰化公開賽是他台巡第三冠，同時也獲得2014年日本美津濃公開賽參賽資格。

第四輪的競爭中，洪健堯打出高於標準桿1桿的72桿，但一出發握有5桿領先優勢，加上在後追趕的業餘選手劉又睿未能迎頭趕上，讓洪健堯以總桿數274桿（-10）奪下冠軍。

劉又睿以3桿之差屈居第二，成績為277桿（-7），名列業餘組第一，13800美元的亞軍獎金則由278桿（-6）名列第三的連啟偉收下。
