兄弟象掌握第8局進攻機會，靠著6支安打、1保送，一口氣灌進6分奠定勝基，終場以8比2擊敗義大犀牛，單場敲2安、3打點的周思齊，獲選為單場MVP。
針對第8局的三壘長打，周思齊表示，「那時候一、二壘有人，投手和內野手應該都以為我會點，所以並沒有全力投，所以我只是順勢作攻擊，原本以為只到二壘，沒想到腳蠻快的就上三壘。」
義大先發投手馬克本季對戰兄弟先發出賽4場，拿下壓倒性的4戰全勝，對戰防禦率只有1.84。
不過，象隊先發米吉亞則是對義大成績不理想，對戰6場吞下1勝3敗，對戰防禦率3.82，而且米吉亞本季在新莊球場勝投還沒開張。
