國民黨中央委員17日晚間出爐，嗅出2014地方選舉風向。在台北市長熱門人選中，台北市經發會副總召連勝文高居第3名；台中市長熱門人選，也被媒體視為下屆南投縣長「大黑馬」的蕭家淇排名大躍升。
國民黨權力結構改變，觀察中央委員名次變化，連勝文由上屆第11名挺進至第3，兩積極佈局北市的立委丁守中、蔡正元成績則不出色，丁由第59掉至133名，蔡則由23落至111名。
連勝文特助徐弘庭也取得佳績，拿到134名。
連勝文參選政見指出，國民黨應全力督促行政革新，徹底革除官僚體系保守怕事、多做多錯、少做少錯、不做不錯的組織文化；國民黨應主導法規全面鬆綁，為國家興利，而非以防弊為藉口，自我設限。
台中市前副市長、現任行政院內政部政務次長蕭家由161名躍升至83名。
蕭家淇政見為，服務民眾，充分反映基層心聲；認真打拼，協助國民黨永續執政；不圖私利，強化黨務革新力量；勇於負責，貫徹黨政策理念。
