第26屆IBAF世界青棒錦標賽中華隊確定無緣晉級冠軍戰，與美國隊比賽不幸落敗，結果以5:7輸球。
中華隊此役派出先發投手為左投林子崴，這次比賽他兩場面對的都是強隊。
首戰對日本，他投5.1局，還飆出6次三振失2分(1自責分)，儼然是中華隊王牌投手，這場對美國，雖然他早就失分，但是越投越穩。
不管是對抗美國還是日本，林子崴都是跟捕手姚冠瑋一起搭配，兩人默契十足，只要一個眼神就足夠。
姚冠瑋認為：「子崴的球不好打，對日本時主要用變化球為主，因為直球怕高起來，只要壓低直球，他們就不好打。」
林子崴除了有大曲球還有一顆小曲球，再加上狀況好的變速球，投起球來虎虎生風，這場6.2局，一樣飆出6次三振，失4分中2分是自責分。 (接下一頁)
